Power Genius has officially commissioned a new grid-side energy storage project in Dezhou, Shandong. The project features the GS105-229AS air-cooled commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage cabinet, specifically designed for distribution transformer areas. It aims to significantly improve power supply stability, load regulation capabilities, and the integration of distributed photovoltaic (PV) power, providing flexible and efficient energy storage support at the grid edge.

In recent years, Dezhou has seen rapid growth in distributed PV, C&I loads, and EV charging infrastructure. Consequently, distribution transformer areas—the "last mile" connecting the grid to end-users—face operational pressures during peak demand, high PV generation, and sudden load fluctuations. The deployment of the GS105-229AS addresses these challenges by discharging during peak hours to alleviate transformer overload and storing energy during off-peak periods or high PV output. This effectively mitigates reverse power flow and voltage fluctuations, enabling peak shaving, dynamic support, and power quality optimization.
The GS105-229AS features a compact, air-cooled design with a 229kWh capacity. Its flexible deployment and easy maintenance make it ideal for various scenarios, including industrial parks, distribution areas, solar-storage-charging stations, and microgrids. By coordinating with the transformer area's Energy Management System (EMS), the cabinet enables rapid response to load changes, PV generation, and grid status, facilitating the transition of the distribution network from "passive supply" to "active regulation."
The project is integrated with the Power Genius online energy Platform, leveraging online monitoring, data analytic, and intelligent dispatching for real-time visibility and management. Powered by AI-driven strategies, the platform automatically optimizes charging and discharging schedules based on load profiles, PV generation, electricity price signals, and grid requirements. This refined operation not only ensures power quality but also unlocks additional value through future participation in demand response, and ancillary services, ensuring stable and sustainable revenue streams.

This Dezhou project marks another significant milestone for Power Genius in the grid-side storage sector. As the construction of new power systems advances, the demand for energy storage at the grid edge is evolving from simple backup power to comprehensive regulation capabilities. Power Genius remains committed to enhancing power reliability, renewable integration, and refined load management. We continue to promote the synergistic development of energy storage, distributed energy resources, and charging infrastructure, delivering safer, more efficient, and flexible solutions for regional energy optimization and high-quality distribution grid development.
